mac vs pc possibilities

Wow, time sure does fly sometimes….After a bit of a hiccup trying to figure out how to import my .dbx Outlook email from my PC to my Mac, I’ve managed to consolidate all my work to my G5 and am just keeping a single PC laptop for testing PC-only VJ related apps. Despite haven primarily used PC’s all my life after my transition from PET & C64 back in the day; since the purchase of my first G4 approx two-ish years ago, my work has felt more and more like play and without the dreaded bluescreen of death. Anyway, that’s all you’ll hear from me on the mac/pc thing, I’m not going to become one of those wacky switcheroo-evangelists.. After all, having multiple hardware platforms provides for the widest gamut of VJ-related fun! — Ok, well, after a month of free VJLoopServer access for all, I’m now axing that account as my Oct network traffic bill was about $300 higher than normal… If you would like ongoing access to our LoopServer, please consider uploading some of your content in exchange for a LIFETIME membership, or you can send a CDR/DVDR to us by mail. Otherwise, we charge a very reasonable $10 per month, which along with the loopserver dvd-rom compilations helps to offset our network costs. Anyway, I’ve got some emails and shipping stuff to attend to now, so have a great weekend, and expect many more frequent updates around here now that I am back in (m)action…;)…D.

We have an exhibit across from the Sony PS2 booth in the Better Living Centre here in Toronto, ON, CANADA @ TheEx until early Sept, so I’ve been working the booth 14 hrs a day down there, thus not here much….come and visit us if you’re in Toronto @ the Ex. Otherwise, here’s a quick link that looked cool…with luck I’ll have some time to post some updates tonight……-David..

still in Amsterdam

We’re still in Amsterdam, hoping to visit a few people today, a mix of business and fun…and I didn’t realize Belgium was so close, so we are planning to visit the Arkaos HQ if schedules mesh, in Brussels before the end of the week. Meanwhile, back in Canada, my friend Ryan, is likely finishing up the PHP install of Mambo on our server, so that we can begin the big site overhaul upon my return. My laptop easily plugs into the internet cafes here so I am mostly on top of email replies, and things are going well, with some good fun here in Amsterdam, aside from walking in circles it seemed while trying to locate our hotel here late last night. All is good though, more updates soon……-David..

The stage is endless, the audience is infinite and the performer is you (all of us)…
So says a portion of the flyer for the latest EYEWASH : NYC’s resident and cycling VJ series performances in the NYC area, this one being: DestinationNewNation. Speaking of Eyewash, I’ve got a dozen or so of their eclectic & exotic initial DVD release, which I’ll add to our A/VcD VJ MiX DVD Release Section later today, when I add previously missing shopping cart buttons from last weeks releases, as well as the stellar first release from Syncrosect.
Today, I can confirm that I’ll be in the Netherlands from this coming Wednesday night until August the 5th, so drop me an email if you’ll be around, so we can synchronize our schedules, otherwise, I can’t make any formal announcements of yet, but it is safe to say that our long-awaited next contest will debut in the near future, with the continuous support and project liaison by our friend BAS, towards a strategic alliance with NoTV & their team’s dedication to the global evolution of the DVJ® : Pioneer Pro DJ is also a primary Sponsor, & has generously donated a pirates bounty of prizes, TBA.
( a few more prizes are needed & would appreciate for corporations / individuals with related community interests, write for formal details.)
